APT expands in USA with new hire and field location in Midland, Texas
International oil services group Applied Petroleum Technology (APT) has appointed Jennifer Reeves as a business development representative based in Midland, Texas. Additionally, APT USA has reached a co-location agreement with Sabata Energy Consultants LLC to better coordinate operations across West Texas.
Based in Midland, Texas, Jennifer Reeves will be APT’s main representative in West Texas, supporting operators across the Permian Basin as well as working with APT USA’s staff to support projects and operators in all the major basins and plays in North America.
“Being that our first year was so successful, additional staffing is essential for us to keep up with demand. Jennifer brings considerable operator experience in exploration, drilling and engineering to name a few. I am looking for Jennifer to assist our clients across the lifetime of their assets, no matter the size, to drill better wells, save money and produce more natural resources,” says Scott Granger, APT’s regional manager for the Americas.
Reeves brings more than 10 years of industry experience to the role having graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Alberta prior to positions with Burlington Resources, ConocoPhillips, Equinor, Occidental and E&B Resources.
“After attending APT’s workshop in Midland I was impressed by their work and vision for the future. I'm genuinely interested in getting more involved in the technical side of business development and this company’s plans to grow. As an experienced geologist with an emphasis in reservoir characterization and development, I know I can bring a lot of value to the team by helping industry leaders to drill more efficient wells with geochemistry,” says Jennifer Reeves.
In addition to Reeves joining the team at APT USA, the company has reached agreement with Sabata Energy Consultants, LLC, to share office space, through their co-working space program, ensuring APT will have both a physical presence and location in Midland. This space will serve as APT USA’s field location for operators across West Texas allowing coordination, receipt and shipping of sample materials/supplies and better support client needs.
APT provides geochemical and biostratigraphic laboratory services, basin modelling and petroleum systems analysis to operators worldwide. The company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and has additional regional and field offices in the UK, USA and Canada.
